    So…we have been avoiding the “when are you getting your boat” question for a while…but not anymore.  The original plan was to splash this summer (obviously that didn’t happen) but now that HH has launched the first two hulls of the HH44 (01 and 02), we’re next.  But today we’re talking about why we’re not sailing our new boat (yet), what our sailing plans are and what we’re doing in-between.

    Oh yes, and we’re doing it all with the windy but beautiful backdrop of Mallorca, Spain!

    WE’RE JASON AND NIKKI WYNN. A couple of modern-day documentarians, perpetual travelers, and seekers of tall tales.

    We’ve been chasing our curiosity around the world on wheels and keels since 2011. Why? Because curiosity is the key to unlocking life. It pushes us outside our comfort zone, softens our assumptions, and helps us embrace the great unknown. The more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us.

    Our home is also our transportation and we spend weeks away from civilization and sometimes land. Self-reliance and living a sustainable lifestyle are a must. It’s all about managing our resources and we’re always looking for new and better ways to do so.

    We’ve lived off the grid for over 10 years now in everything from a Van to RV to a Sailboat. And over time we have learned a lot about renewable energy, creating safe drinking water, and managing our waste.

    Our journey is ever-evolving but the mission remains the same: #CultivateCuriosity

      Is there going to be a limit on how many commercial endorsements are scattered throughout the videos? Please, you are great content creators. Don't spoil it with too many commercials. It's annoying, sorry, but I love your content and personalities, sans all the ads.✌️

      When I went thru menopause age 47-50, I slept off and on and had night sweats. Sipping a little unsweetened apple juice helped me go back to sleep. This also helped my hypoglycemia. I'm in my 70's.
      Quit the caffeine, alcohol and sugar. Drink herb decaf teas instead to help with digestion, gas, bloating and calm the mind.
      Short pixie haircuts would keep the hair off your faces on windy days.🙏

      One of the things I am curious about is where you will register your boat. Never heard anyone do a video on that subject.
      Are there tax implications of registering it in the USA?? Are you allowed to sail out of China or will you have it shipped to a nearby port??

      Don't expect that shiny new HH to be perfect either. Expect more delays after delivery. Warranty repair. Might not even be HH's fault. Think of all the other manufacturers involved. We met a HH50 couple who waited in USVI for carbon fiber mast warranty repair to be flown in from Europe! Lovely people. They were more than capable of repairing it themselves, but would void their warranty to do so! Must have been frustrating for them to wait around. Looked like they flew in a really good team too.

      I was personally warned not to buy new if i wanted to avoid warranty hell. But buying new is also the only way to get exactly what you want!

      But you guys know all this from RV days. Same problems! Hell, I learned about RV warranty hell from you guys! 🙂

      Me and my girlfriend absolutely loved Mallorca!
      If I ever make it to sailing life my dream sail would be to Sa Calobra it’s absolutely stunning and was very jealous of all the boats anchored up there 😅

      Please assist me in winning ( or losing a dispute with my wife) I make hiking videos for sport. Just fun stuff. Here’s my question: generically how long does it take you to finish an edit on your video (editing time per minute) I sadly sometimes I take an hour to make one minute when everything works out in the end. Help a non sailor out. Also when will you be in Croatia. 🇭🇷 it’s a sailing gem.

      Sounds like you guys have plans in place to head back to Asia, but if you still have time to kill or anything changes we are heading south in Bulgaria right now. We are always down for meeting up with old friends at an (dog-friendly) airbnb at a yet to be determined location to catch up! ❤️ R-

      I could see you being as understanding as you are if you weren’t paying so much for this boat. How long do you wait prior to feeling that you are being taken advantage of. A little push back doesn’t hurt

      So happy Nikki has Jason. And vice versa. Such a good pairing. I struggle with much like Nikki but I am solo.
      And yes my head exploded in the continuum. If I recall you were in Spain when I was in Portugal.

      True nomads. It's the same in the auto industry guy's. I know from experience. Never buy a new model because that's the one that all the bugs get worked out. A lot of times, if you need a part, it's harder to get because vendors are making parts for the production models. I think they call it year one. You'll find out, except who knows where you two will be when something happens. I'm sorry to hear that. In my opinion, it'll all work out. Some people are just lucky that way. I know you're going to say, "Have you been following our channel?" I'm just comparing you to me. Anyway, chin up. I look forward to seeing you back on the open seas. 🌎✌️🙂.

      Sometimes that 3am wake up is due to low blood sugar. Eating a small bite like an apple or spoon of peanut butter can help get your blood sugar back to normal and you back to sleep.

      Are you adding solar over your zero jet? Being that pizzeria jet is 48 V and your boat voltage is 48 volthe April's. I wondered how integrated it could be into your displays in terms of percentage of charge. Also wondering if you could bypass their slow charging system in favor of something more direct. Having additional solar over the dingy make sense to me.

      If I've learned anything from watching YouTubers buy new boats is… don't buy a new boat and if you wait until everything in the economy falls apart, even better.
