Just a few short hours ago I was in the Cameron Highlands we couldn’t get any more different to Cameron Islands than the city that I’m in right now I’m in the capital of Malaysia welcome to Kuala Lumpur one of the places I have saved to my

Maps is a place called Lot 10 which is a mall that has lots and lots of street food and that’s right there live music setting up here Lot 10 is basically just Justin mall but it’s downstairs where you get the food court which apparently offers some classic Malaysian dishes

I thought I’d come in here and get just a light and have a main meal later on today look at this it’s got a dress pork here noodles some broth and some tofu and egg looks amazing and that was less than four quid well I wasn’t expecting to have a big

Meal like that but I’m not complaining but that was absolutely delicious I don’t think there’s anything else that’s going to interest me in this place it’s all very morally so apart from the food court I think that’s me done in here just how busy Kuala Lumpur gets

So I’ve snaked out across the road doesn’t look anywhere near as busy over here I do need to do a little bit of shopping I need some socks and box shorts and I need some more sunglasses because I’ve lost them again there’s a mole here I’m gonna find what I’m looking for in

Here judging by the shops that are on the outside we’ve got Dior Armani uh Rolex this might be a little bit out of my budget Look at this place Well Olympus certainly gearing up for Christmas [Applause] looks very popular queuing up for miles because it’s a travel day it’s too late to go off and do something big but it’s too early to not do anything at all so what I’m gonna do is head up towards probably Kuala lumpur’s most iconic buildings the twin towers and the Twin

Towers come alive at night they look amazing when they’re all lit up in the dark and there’s the waterfalls the dancing waterfalls and all that stuff going on I’ll come back and do that but just go and have a look I guess you don’t really feel like

You’re in Kuala Lumpur until you’ve seen them so first we’re going to go to something called the KLCC Park here we are then in the KLCC Park I didn’t realize that from here you can actually see the Twin Towers and possibly it’s good to viewers we’re going to get so here they are

Oh my God it’s a huge children’s playground all the kids are loving it one day before Christmas this is going to look amazing when it’s dark and it’s all lit up and on New Year’s Eve I will be here for New Year’s Eve all the fireworks wow

An end free hour from I think about seven o’clock seven eight and nine all this is a dancing Symphony it all lights up and it’s all synchronized with the music it’s really beautiful let’s go it’s not looking at this just underneath these Twin Towers is a huge shopping mall

I don’t think I’m gonna get any cheap socks from this place You know when you get those stupid racist people in England saying ridiculous things like Muslims want to ban Christmas well I’m in Malaysia this is a Muslim country There’s no bunion of Christmas going on here I just crossed the road because I spotted bees random things and then as soon as I got here I could smell it and there’s a billion store just behind me and prices start at 30 kilogram okay six so

Looks like I did the right thing getting it in Cameron Highlands we’re heading to a place called tapak which is a street food market for the difference because they’re all food trucks Urban Street Food we’ve got them chicken Korean the house of soup healthy Vietnamese rolls fruit rolls they look pretty interesting

Saturday over here how much is this 170 a stick there was warning typing screamed this is interesting I’ll put a reason price for the NASA grang from well we’ve got one from seven up to about 10. here we have some burgers Steamboat over here more going Western food you’ve got steaks lamb

Chops fish and chips nachos pizza but it’s closed chicken fish and chicks over here pasta but what this is seafood here salted eggs tacos again more chicken and fish and mussels we’ve got everything that was I wasn’t sure whether he was asking me took one of him or not but anyway he

Ended up checking one and then said it was too live and he put some fancy lens on my camera and I I’m thinking is he just gonna run off my phone here but anyway uh getting my phone back and then tried to sell me one of these fancy lenses

I made it back to my hostel it’s about 7 30. my hostel is basically just here next to this Family Mart and I was thinking that I might get a little bit hungry later on but I’m not going to be short of choice if I just nip out of the hostel because

On this corner alone here but he’s just literally Kebab shop after Kebab shop I don’t remember this corner last time all this early around here is like an Arabian Middle Eastern Area and there used to be just here a little pizza place that was very good but it’s not

There anymore but it has been replaced by tonight this is this

My Malaysian adventure had taken in Langkawi, George Town, Taiping, Ipoh and Cameron Highlands. I had loved my time in this wonderful country and now it was time to explore its capital city.

The day began with some delicious Malaysian food in Lot 10 before I checked out some of the malls that were all ready for Christmas.

It was then time to head to the KLCC park to take my first look at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.

There was still time to check out a local food market made up of food trucks before calling time on my first day in this impressive city.
