Epic Universe | Universal Orlando’s New Theme Park Opening Next Year!

Hey everyone Dan Lesley back again for another video about theme parks in Central Orlando but this time we’re talking about something that we have been looking forward to for a while all right we have some epic news today we’re talking all about epic Universe uh they gave us some great little insights this

Last week and we could not be more excited so they did an official press release and they really know how to do that right we have had the Good Fortune thank you Universal for inviting us out and letting us be a part of your media um

Events team for the last year and a half or so we’ve had um the wonderful opportunity to go to like the opening night of Halloween Horror Nights and to see previews of Christmas or holidays at Universal and um you know Marty Gro and and that has been so much fun but one

Thing that we have been wondering about is when they were going to announce the brand new theme park that is opening in 2025 epic Universe this thing looks amazing it will almost double the size of Universal Orlando resort currently So currently they have volcano Bay and then

Two theme parks connected by City walks you have Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida I cannot wait to see what this new theme park looks like in real life it’s going to be incredible it is just it’s there are so many pieces of this that we are so

Looking forward to and to get to hear a little bit more information coming from the source so we’ve been kind of following all of the rumors and um keeping up with things just kind of guessing and trying to figure out from patents and whatnot what is actually happening now we’re starting to get

Information from Universal destinations and experiences and oh my gosh so did you know how to make an announcement they sent I think everyone on their media list um a pretty epic gift in order to kind of launch this season of news and so we just got a random FedEx

Package last week and inside of this nondescript box was this thing and inside of this thing was this thing this is a scale model of the Kronos and this is going to be the main portal entry into epic Universe in 2025 yeah it says that our personal Kronos

Contains a medall marking your first destination Celestial Park and that’s going to be the area that we tell you more about today it is an imaginative world of lush living Gardens nestled among shimmering Waters here’s stunning architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements surrounds an array of sumptuous tastes and thrills to

The senses and then it goes on to say that in the months to come we will receive new medallions to fill all the rest of the spots so obviously we were very excited about that and then the same day that we received that Universal made this press release uh to accompany

A 7 plus minute long video from destination experiences that goes into What epic universe will entail and how it all works and everything and we just want to talk a little bit about that and how excited we are for a brand new theme park like we talk a lot about about uh

Like maybe a new restaurant opening at Disney or a new ride every so often opening at Disney like we are anxiously awaiting the opening of Tiana’s Bou Adventure but we are talking about universal opening an entire theme park that is huge and has five distinct lands

It opens in 2025 the uh the weird thing is they they were saying prior to this press release that is opening in summer of 2025 now it just says 2025 and so I’m interested to see does that mean earlier than summer let’s get into this let’s talk

About everything that we know so far because this was the first official announcement so like Leslie said that we have been following news and rumors and um if you are familiar with a social media account called bio reconstruct um that social media account flies over construction sites in the Central

Orlando area and so um that is uh that is where we kind of like see glimpses on the the progress of the construction over there but now we know exactly what Universal has put out let’s start with where you can stay um obviously all of the Universal Orlando resorts are going

To be available to you but there are also some new options that we knew were coming but we have just a little bit more information um there are three new Resorts being built one is called Universal Stella Nova Resort and that one is going to be opening up in January

21st of 2025 and then we have Universal Tara Luna Resort and that one’s going to be opening in February later February of 20125 um so knowing that has kind of led us to speculate maybe that they’re going to open epic Universe a little bit earlier but who knows uh what the cards

Hold as far as that’s concerned now the then finally kind of the big the newest the grandest the probably like the most amazing Resort is the universal Helios Grand Hotel and this is actually going to have its own private entrance into epic Universal’s epic Resort is going to

Be located about a mile away from from the current location of Universal Orlando resort so it’s not really walkable back and forth between what we know now as Universal Orlando resort so these three hotels are pretty much going to be serving Epic Universe although they will of course have shuttles going

Back and forth uh the two um sister hotels that lesie had mentioned first are going to be um more on the south side of Epic universe and they are sister hotels they look very very nice but more on the moderate uh spectrum of price and then that grand Helios hotel

Is going to be inside the park with its own private entrance into epic Universe 500 room Hotel think premium uh quality here think premium prices here we want to stay there at least one night just to check it out but that’s going to be probably the most exciting experience as

Far as your stay goes for epic universe and I want a Theme Park View that’s going to be insane okay let’s talk about the theme park itself when you enter that first portal into epic Universe you’re going to go through the Kronos the Kronos is just that main entrance and you’re going

To enter into Celestial Park so Celestial Park is the central Hub of the um entire theme park there are four more portals that each go into their own distinct lands which we’ll talk about more in a second once you get into Celestial Park but Celestial Park

Actually has rides and dining it is its own themed land what I love about this is that Universal said that they’re going to put the park Back In theme park and it really does look like a park yeah it’s beautiful just at least from the artist renderings that we’ve seen it has

These um magnificent like they have these water areas that go down the center like leading into the hotel they’ve got uh with like fountains and whatnot and then they have all of this Lush you know landscaping and uh it just it looks like it’s going to be just a

Really beautiful place to kind of be and walk around in Celestial park there are three main attractions the first is going to be the biggest most exciting roller coaster that epic universe is going to feature and that is going to be called Starfall Racers this is a dual launch coaster this is

Think of like dueling dragonesque so two coasters going at once where you’re kind of racing each other at some point they go into this like twist I don’t want to say death spin cuz it’s not but it’s like a it’s like a like a Twist turn Loop thingy they’re calling it a

Celestial spin which is an inverted crisscross and where they kind of like spin through that’s what I said death spiral right no no okay um he reaches speeds up to 62 mph and it’s 133 ft tall at one point this thing looks magnificent yes very very cool this is a Thrill Ride so

It does have a height requirement so make sure you check that out before you go to Epic Universe now the second attraction here in Celestial Park is going to be the constellation Carousel um you know it looks like a carousel but it looks like a really cool Carousel they are calling this the

Centerpiece of the park it is right there in the center it is right there kind of surrounded by those uh water those bodies of water and The Fountains the fountain to say that the fountain is going to rival like the Bellagio Fountains I don’t know if that’s

Accurate but that’s what it looks like to me like as we’re looking at pictures of the construction progress and all of the piping and everything going into this Fountain it looks phenomenal and I’m not a huge Carousel guy but I will definitely ride this and check this out

With all of the um Fantastical um elements like these these car these U creatures that are in this thing yes it looks very cool and the constellations that you are riding on they Glide forward and backward some even spin um so I think it’s going to be a really fun

Attraction for the entire family to experience and then the last attraction is actually a play area so it’s like a wet play area so um I’m thinking Splash Pad here you can see the um the generated renderings of that area looks really cool there is a compass um that

Is incorporated into that that um that t you into the park um I am I just like I’m probably not going to be running through the water like frolicking but I I would want to I might I might you’ll see it’s good to be a kid every once in

A while we’ll see they also announced a couple of really cool dining experiences at least what sound like really cool dining experiences I feel like Universal is trying to kind of go up a level whenever it comes to their dining in this theme park already with what we’ve

Heard so the first one is is called the Atlantic and this one it’s kind of almost um it’s it’s near one of those bodies of water in that Center portion and it’s Set uh it has different levels but it almost looks like it’s set down a

Little bit so you’re you’re at eye level of the water which I think it’s going to be a really unique experience this is going to it sounds like it’s going to be a more high-end level restaurant with like surf and turf um and kind of a more elegant experience then back there

Towards the back of the park next to the Grand helius Hotel um that’s where you’re going to find the blue dragon Pan Asian restaurant so another table service restaurant sounds really fantastic um I love the idea of that type of Cuisine back there um so you got

Surf and turf and then that Pan Asian restaurant um I’m not I’m not sure which one I would rather have at this point but they both look really really sasty all right so the last thing that they kind of announced for the celestial Park

Area that has to do with food is uh a couple of quick service options there is the Oak and Star Tavern which is going to have some barbecue options and then there’s Pizza Moon which is going to have pizza all right there’s a couple of merchandise locations in Celestial Park the biggest

One is going to be the Super Mario store so they’re calling it the Nintendo Superstar store so I’m sure that’s going to have a lot of Super Nintendo World um you know that’s one of the lands spoiler um and then there is of course a sweet shop towards the beginning of the park

More towards the main entrance uh that you can stop and satisfy your sweet tooth with all right so let’s get to those other portals and we might as well just kick it off with Super Mario Land is also out at Universal Hollywood but what we’re getting here in Epic Universe

From what I understand is going to be bigger we don’t know a whole lot more uh about this area other than rumors but I think it’s going to be pretty amazing I myself cannot wait to jump up and punch a coin question mark can you actually

Physically punch it yeah and you can get a band that you get like points and coins okay the next portal that you come to past Super Nintendo world is going to be dark Universe this one is the one that I am most excited for so this one

Is our first themed villains land in Central Florida I’ve been wanting Disney to do a themes V themed villains land for so long but Universal is beating them to it so this is when it incorporates the universal classic monsters and so we are talking about Frankenstein there’s a new character uh

Dr Victoria Frankenstein Wolf Man Dracula all the classics and um we love it when they incorporate these into Halloween Horror Nights I have a shirt that has just movie posters of classic monsters I’m going to wear that probably on opening day and just like giggle like

AKA going through this thing there is um a launch roller coaster that is going through like a barn like um it it we don’t have anything official these are all rumor rumors that’s inside so we can’t really go in anything on past the portal um but I I based on the rumors

I’m very excited about this land Jennings is very much hoping that they re Resurrect The Monsters Cafe at least all of the stuff that was in the monsters Cafe I’m sure there will be plenty themed to monsters okay as you go past the back of the park so as you’re

Walking in a clockwise fashion from Dark Universe past the universal Helios Grand Hotel the next land or portal that you come to is Harry Potter the third Harry Potter land at Universal yes so this is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of magic and it is going to combine

1920s Paris and 1990s British Ministries um kind of into one I don’t know how but all I know is if I can walk into a fireplace with and get like flu powdered somewhere dream come true yeah I mean just again rumors but from the construction photos we’ve seen the

Outside facades look like Wizarding France and then um from the permits that have been filed looks like the inside of the major Riot is going to be the ministry of magic from uh England and so it looks really cool and then finally as you continue back towards the main entrance to that

Kronos you are going to come to How to Train Your Dragons Isle of Burke this one I’m so looking forward to this was one of our kids favorite movies whenever they were little um just following along with Toothless and who doesn’t want a cute little dragon as a pet and who

Doesn’t want a fly one and it might look like we might get to just have those dreams come true as well I mean we kind of bought one when we got Thea the uh the cat the Siamese cat she looks exactly like toothless except for she is

White and Toothless is black and she doesn’t fly and I can’t write her so that would be awkward if you tried all right so that is the official announcement from Universal destination experiences I am very excited to hear what they have to say next and we will

Bring that to you periodically as they make updates again um I think so it’s officially launching in 2025 but those two sister hotels are launching in January and early February of 2025 so fingers crossed that it opens prior to Summer which was the original goal it does look like the construction is
