I’m going to do some investigation on these, what I would call gutters. Look how it stretches out here. So, we’re going to walk along these. Let’s see what we run into. I’m thinking something ran through here. And most likely it was the mineral water that feeds Cleopatra’s pools.
Because Cleopatra’s Pool is directly that way. And I don’t see any holes in here. I hope we don’t fall through any holes that are in here. But then, oh, we have a crack in the ground, and we have steam. Can you see the steam? Oh! I think that is definitive proof that
I am standing above the thermal mineral springs. We’ll just call it waterway. And notice it just continues on. Pretty interesting!
Exploring ancient infrastructure at Hierapolis Pamukkale is as easy as walking on what I would call gutters. Check out https://youtube.com/shorts/BRYAG5reuBo to explore more or Hierapolis Pamukkale with us.

I’m thinking that either runoff, sewage, or the natural springs thermal mineral water ran through these gutters.
Most likely it was the mineral water that feeds Cleopatra’s pools.
These gutters run all throughout the ancient ruins of Hierapolis.

One of my guesses would be it is what geologists call a fossilized creek bed. That may be the mineralization left behind from the flowing water

I'm sure it's an aqueduct.
