Next stop in Munich, but in the meantime we stopped in Bavaria, in a magical place! I know you can’t see anything, but I did it on purpose! To visit this place we came to this car park for 13 euros 8 hours, although we will probably stay less.

But we decided to pay anyway, because a closer, free place is several kilometers away and we didn’t feel like it… Many of our distinguished colleagues would say that this is a place for old people. And we are on the right track!

No, we are young differently, that’s what they say nowadays so as not to offend anyone! Because it is a tourist place, on the other hand, to understand a tourist place you also need to have a bit of culture every now and then.

But yes, but on the other hand we don’t like crowds in tourist places either and for this reason we came relatively early in the morning. And as you can see the car park is practically empty and to go where we need to go you can take the bus.

But if you want to lose or not lose 10 years of life, from our latest experience, we do not recommend it. Jokes aside, with the bus you will get there in 10 minutes, instead on foot it takes half an hour or 40 minutes.

And for this reason, what we’re going to see now, he also spent all the family’s money. We are not here to recount historical facts line by line. We are not the right channel. And as we once said, we are not Alberto and Angela.

No, because we just want to explain to you why some facts and then ultimately why we came to visit a place. But also because we could talk about good Ludwig for hours and hours. You can find the information everywhere and it is very interesting. Go and have a look so maybe you will

Want to go and visit one of its three castles. Already when we were here for the first time these roots reminded us of another magical place. So imagine all this in the dark with the rain all black. Forbidden Forest, Harry Potter. And as we said we have arrived in a magical place.

Indeed we have arrived at a viewpoint, a belvedere as you wish from where you can admire the magnificence of Ludwig’s work. Now we’ll show you. And we arrived at Ludwig’s first castle. We made it! All in the same spot. Yes everyone in the same spot and then everyone pushes you.

It’s not that we’re complaining, the fact is that everyone tries to stop in the first meter of the bridge while the remaining nine remain free. I mean, I don’t know if I explained myself. The bridge we stood on to admire the castle is called Marienbruck.

It is a suspension bridge in a gorge 90 meters high. Once upon a time it was all made of wood. Now surely you say more confidently. No, the beams are still made of wood, they all wobble even though the structure is made of iron.

There is no evidence that this castle, Neuschwanstein, we haven’t said its name yet, was used by Disney as a model for its own princely castles. But one thing is true, that this here is a real castle, built or at least

We’ve wanted to come here to Munich and park at the Allianz Arena for a long time. And anyway this time we didn’t succeed. And we didn’t succeed for a very simple reason, because today is the match. And when there are matches at Allianz Arena, as far as we know, parking is not allowed.

It was really absurd to even think like that. And from here, to get to the city, you usually take the Metro. Since the Metro is about 10-15 minutes from here, you can take the minibus right in front of the campsite.

But since the bus isn’t here in the meantime, we have no problem doing those 10-15 minutes. But since the minibus has arrived, let’s go and get the minibus so we can also see how much it costs. Did you succeed? We made it. We had some problems purchasing the ticket.

One more note regarding Allianz Arena, rest area and this campsite. Because it seems important to me. However, as there is no minibus, you have to walk 15-20 minutes to Allianz Arena. Because there are 1.5-2 km from the rest area to the entrance to the Metro. Here at least we say…

This market is also full of little places where you can do tastings, or if you want to eat and maybe even drink a coffee, because I think the time has come. In the middle of the market is the Maypole, which we saw in front of the various breweries.

In the meantime, while we’re queuing for coffee, maybe we’ll explain what the Maypole is. It is used throughout Europe, but also in all countries in different ways. For example, in our country it can be compared to the maypole, even if it is not the same thing.

There is an absurd queue for the coffee, let’s hope it’s good. But obviously there’s a queue, it’s a roastery. In fact, they also sell coffee there, you can take it home both in beans and ground, so it should be good. Let’s explain better, the queue starts here and ends there at the bottom.

While the coffee cools, I’ll continue. It’s not like we need to explain what a Maypole is. It is used for example at Octoberfest, or at other parties, or in meeting points. But perhaps we found the best explanation, because we looked, in the words of the mayor of Munich in ’62,

Very good, I think I’ll steal my glass. Today they are smaller, so I got two. Do you know what pretzels are for? To give meaning to beer. And they are really good, they are much crispier than what we ate yesterday. It’s a little saltier, but good.

The salad arrived, but also the shank with dumplings. Oh come on! Did we mention this is only half? First the dumplings. And this is the meat dumpling. Slightly spicy, meat and bread, and goes great with sauce. And now let’s try this half shin piece.

It’s really delicious, the shin is cooked well, I also like the dumplings. It’s the first time I’ve eaten real dumplings, the unpackaged ones bought from us. Now let’s try the crust while it is still nice and warm and crunchy. But we changed the salad, because it wasn’t the one I ordered Maja.

In fact I wanted potato salad with cucumbers and onion. Very delicate. So, the crust, the rind is very crunchy, and the salad is crazy. And as our friend Nadia from Organized on the Road says, you don’t take prisoners here. Wet wipes. I only have the pretzel left over, but we’ll finish that too.
