Podcast Salon Place à l’emploi du Val d’Europe
Hello everyone and welcome to this new podcast in which we talk about employment. The Place à l’emploi Val d’Europe job fair opens its doors on 21 March in Coupvray, a commune in the in the department of Seine-et-Marne. If you’re looking for a job, this job fair is the perfect opportunity
To meet recruitment officers and go for interviews. Welcome to our guests, Corinne Le Cam, Director of Attractiveness Val d’Europe Agglomération, and Cécile Balta, Director of Human Resources at Disneyland Paris, in charge of employment. Welcome to you both. Thank you, Elisabetta. Hello. So Corrine, how many companies will be at the show, the
Place à l’emploi Val d’Europe? So this year, the Place à l’emploi Val d’Europe job fair is a growing success with 111 companies to welcome 111 companies. And to mention a few names of course, Disneyland Paris, delighted to welcome you, but also Crédit Agricole, Sodexo,
A new company which has just set up in Val d’Europe this year called ITQ Group, which specialises in cyber security. We also have an advertising agency called Soon. Of course, hotels, restaurants and then retail chains like Ralph Lauren, but also the Vallée Village. Are you expecting a lot of candidates?
So yes, we’re expecting between 2,000 and 2,500 visitors to the show this year. We’ve really stepped up our communication plan. We start a poster campaign from 11 March on RER line A and the entire Val d’Europe bus network France Travail, our partner on this operation.
We also sent out a mailing to over 17,000 potential candidates. So we’re expecting a big success. And how many job offers will be on offer at the show? So at national level, I counted about 25,000 jobs on offer because we have organisations that represent offers
Throughout France, and even even on the Roissy platform. So at a local level, let’s say Val d’Europe and the surrounding area, there are about 3000 – 3500 jobs, which is not bad for our territory. Cécile, Disneyland Paris is one of these companies
That will be present at this fair “Place à l’emploi Val d’Europe” : how many jobs are available at Disneyland Paris at the moment? And for what type of jobs? Yes, we’ll be there. We’re delighted to be part of this new edition. We have several hundred jobs in the hospitality industry,
Catering, security, but also in support functions such as marketing, finance project management, and so on, we’ll have a lot of offers for our candidates. And what are the qualities required to work at Disneyland Paris? That’s a good question. There aren’t a few qualities and the same for all positions. In fact, we’ll say
Only for operational positions, i.e. the positions we’re going to find in hotels or parks, in our restaurants, it’s obviously the sense of service, a sense of the customer. There are certain jobs, in particular jobs that are in contact with our visitors, who ask to speak
A second language, English, or even a third language, Spanish or Portuguese or Dutch for example. And then there are jobs a bit more technical, which require sometimes even a diploma when you’re in the kitchen, for example. Thanks Cécile. I’ll come back to that as well. Corrine, we’ll come back to the living room.
What new products that are planned for this year? So, as I was saying, we have a lot more exhibitors this year. So one of the new things is diversification of professions, sectors and companies that are recruiting. And that, for us, is good news.
As Cécile was saying we have a lot of sectors and professions in the hotel industry, catering, security, sport, in a wide variety of professions administration, sales, logistics. So, this diversity is a real asset Compared to last year, we also listened. Last year we set up a satisfaction survey
At the end of the show for visitors and exhibitors. And so we also became aware and listened to what came up through his studies and analyses. So we’ve increased the density of signage, we set up a reception from the car park. We’ve also reviewed the organisation of the car park
To make it easier for visitors park more easily. There will also be changes in the level of service that we’re going to offer exhibitors. Remember that the show is 100% free for both exhibitors and visitors. It is completely free to access and we also maintain everything that made the show such a success.
In addition to meeting with the recruiters, we set up workshops in the form photo shoots, for example so that the candidates can update their photos on their cv and have a professional photo. We also have a workshop this year, is called Boost your application, in the form of advice given by HR experts
To review your CV or work on interview points to improve prepare for these interviews and of course there are always workshops organised by France Travail which is our partner on recruitment work methods a bit innovative. There is also a round table in the afternoon. Absolutely.
So it’s our pleasure, Elisabetta, to welcome you and to have you as moderator of this round table which will take place at 4 p.m. on 21 March. And what is the theme? Which is aimed at specialists or rather HR professionals on the theme “How can we encourage the employment of young people?
“It’s a subject very important for the conurbation and also, I think, for Disneyland Paris. At these round tables, we welcome Villages Nature, SAUR, ITQ Group, France travail and also Cécile Balta from Disneyland Paris. Thank you very much for doing us the honour to be with us again this year. Thank you, I’m delighted.
So Cécile, we talked about listening to the world, the many offers for Paris. But how do you manage to recruit in jobs that are in short supply? For example catering jobs? So, as Corrine was saying we also try innovative methods. We work in with France Travail, particularly our branch in Chessy
With whom we have long-standing partnership. And I have to say that we’re becoming more and more innovative in the way we go find candidates, assess them, recruit them, et cetera So this is a partnership that is very valuable to us. But we’re not just going to
Ile de France, or even in France, but we also travel a bit in Europe. So we have what we casting tours. So we’re going to visit a few towns in France, we’re also going to Italy, Spain, we do it every year. It’s going well
Because we’re actually going to be looking people outside France who will speak other languages but who also speak French. And that opens up quite a few of horizons, of perspectives. And then sometimes, a bit of on customer service, for example. And what are the advantages of working at Disneyland Paris?
So I’d say there are a lot of advantages. But we’re actually in a company that offers an extremely wide range of diversified range of jobs which, for those those who are interested, can go on to a career with a great deal of internal mobility, changes of profession, training throughout his career.
For people who don’t necessarily want to stay want to stay 20 years or 25 years, it’s also a way to go to explore other professions, to train, acquire skills. It’s also sometimes a first job where you have a lot of students who come in the summer or have 16-hour contracts,
So they come to work during their studies at the weekend and finally, because there’s there’s a special working atmosphere, because you also have the opportunity to train throughout your life, finally stay, but have an extremely rich career. Thank you, Cécile. In closing, Corrine,
