Flores – A short walk around empty Santa Cruz
From the biggest island of the archipelago, it was time to move to the very outskirts of western Europe, the island of Flores.
Had a flight on the smallest plane I ever embarked to, not without some anxiety of course, but it was actually quite enjoyable.
Island of Flores is a rather small piece of land that gets very quiet in the winter months, most places are closed and there are very few people around. The weather can be brutal as I would find out later.
This episode encapsulates the plane journey there, and a short walk stretching the legs afterwards, in Santa Cruz, biggest town on the island.
