Exploring Rhodes – Our First Time in Greece

It was time for Nick and I to take a break from turkey and catch the ferry over to Greece we wanted to head over to the island of RADS as it is much closer to Turkey than it is to the Greek mainland we had a pretty rough 2 and 1/2

Hour Ferry but we were very excited once we landed on the beautiful Island so today we’re very excited because it is our first full day in Greece so we’re just on the island of roads at the moment and for the day I think we’re just going to go wander into the old town and then maybe head off to the Beach that is a fat cat apparently that’s where the uh Colossus used to sit stand over that entrance do you know the colossos is High um well you taught me that it’s some gigantic statue that was there I’m surprised well on yeah you guys highy the old town is surrounded by

Massive stone walls so we made sure to go exploring the views of the crystal clear ocean were amazing and we were even able to walk on the city walls not a bad View Look at That The old town is quite busy especially in the summer we were surrounded by stores and restaurants and as we went further into the town there were many beautiful historical sites to wander [Applause] through I’ve been waiting such a long long time for you to Realize you don’t get what you what do you think about the old town haly it’s beautiful it’s nice huh it’s it’s really hot Here what’d you get no chicken gar what’ you get yeah I got the chicken suaki I’m jealous is it good that’s ziki is so good isn’t it what’s your review on Mr G’s street food Nick what’s it called Mr G’s Greek food Mr G’s he knows what’s Happ Mr

Made up of classic white rectangular buildings at the base of the Acropolis okay so we made it to lindos a took like an hour and a half by bus and we had tried to rent a motorbike but they denied us because they don’t have the right licenses which is funny because we’re in Southeast Asia we didn’t need anything to drive a

Motorbike so we just had to take the Bus we wandered around the streets until we ended up at the beach for most of the day we soaked in the views and cooled down in the water which is much needed in the summer Heat We’re currently trying to walk up to the Acropolis and it’s a lot of steps it’s not hot and we got Lost We made it to the top that’s the beach that we were down on Before the Acropolis was built at the top of the Headland with amazing views over the village below and up and down the Coast the building was completed in 300 BC and over the years many more buildings were added as Greeks Romans byzantines Knights of St John and finally Ottomans controlled the region the Acropolis covers a large area and is surrounded on all sides by impressive walls built right on the edge of the

Cliffs it’s impressive structure and the views again are Amazing Okay so it is our last night in Greece and so far we’ve pretty much just been eating chicken slovaki just because it’s way cheaper than anything else they’re usually like3 but um we’ve decided since our last night it’s time for us to try some actual Greek food so we’re going to go
