The Manga Comic Con 2024 in Leipzig stands as one of Germany’s bigger events dedicated to manga, anime, comics, and video games. This year there are more visitors than during the years before. In this video I am walking through the all event halls on a Saturday evening in March 2024. Held annually alongside the Leipziger Buchmesse (Leipzig Book Fair), this convention spans a weekend, drawing in crowds from across the country and beyond. Situated at the Leipzig Trade Fair grounds, the event hosts a diverse array of exhibitors, including publishers, comic book stores, merchandise sellers, artists, and cosplay shops. Cosplay takes center stage, with attendees showcasing intricate costumes inspired by their beloved characters, alongside contests and photo opportunities. Special guests, ranging from manga artists to voice actors, grace the event, engaging in panels, signings, and Q&A sessions. There are also workshops, from drawing tutorials to crafting sessions, as well as gaming tournaments and Japanese cultural shows. The convention serves as a hub for Anime and Manga fans to connect, with a vibrant community where friendships are forged and passions shared. The bustling marketplace offers a huge amount of manga volumes, comics, artwork, and merchandise, catering to every fan’s desires. Manga Comic Con in Leipzig is more than just a famous convention: It’s a celebration of manga, anime, and pop culture, where fans immerse themselves in a world of entertainment, creativity, and community spirit.
