PALMA DE MALLORCA 🇪🇸 (PMI) AIRBUS A320 COCKPIT FULL SIGHTSEEING APPROACH TO RUNWAY 06L
you have control I have control communication and communication [Music] [Music] [Music] so um from cup performan for [Applause] [Music] once again your captain from the ftic we are coming close to mayorca we already see on the left hand side Maya Island and uh if you look left in front a little bit and uh so we expect to land on Runway uh 06 left on mayorca Island at 12:00 45 that’s in 25 minutes from now the weather is good right now no low clouds reported temperature 22° C winds from changing directions with about 8 uh 10 km an hour and during the approach we plan to fly one time over the island and uh then we will do a right turn uh where the Bay of PMA de Maya and then land on Runway 06 left that’s according to the plan right now it may change because the wind um is crosswind and this may also be possible that we land on Runway 24 but right now Runway 06 left is in use at this time we on the flight flight te would like to thank you for joining us for this flight we hope you enjoyed you stay here on board and we wish you a nice stay at Maya island or safe trip wherever you’re traveling to today thank [Applause] you so what’s going on uh we have been instructed to start our descent flight level 200 is and um yeah so descent Al Blue flight level 200 very good you have control okay so I have control see a 200 yes very good so what about the passengers do you think we should already switch on the fast seat Bel signs or what do you think shall we wait yeah we can already fasten them if I think they’ve had enough time or if they change the runway yeah then it would be a lot shorter then it would be a good idea yeah okay see signs on perfect should we hold a short break this is a great idea go ahead okay perfect um well current msas are 2,000 ft we’re above the water yeah and um we will be um starting our approach out of an MSA of 3,000 ft uh the highest MSA for us um in case we would uh perform a go run would be 7,000 ft that’s the highest MSA within the whole sector of Pyar um we a mountains we see by the way in front of us the first row of mountains this is where the 7 000 ft uh MSA ISM yeah true and um yeah we can expect the lunik arrival or at least the part of the arrival and that will then later take us to an ILS Zulu approach and Runway 06 left yeah the minimum for us later on is 310 ft and uh in case of Mis approach um it is um coded correctly Inside the Box we will uh initially turn to the uh North and um climb 3,000 ft later on then take us into the 5,500 ft sector where we will end on radio uh 268 from charlie delta Papa yeah and this is this is the tempo charge where we said this makes completely sense to us because this gives us a higher go around altitude the other was only 2,000 ft yeah with very close by obstacles yeah true not really nice regarding the fuel 400 kg 11 minutes very yeah so we do this approach uh ILS approach this flight director Auto thrust Auto uh autopilot and then switch off later on uh the autopilot and uh yeah we expect to land on 06 left Runway is long enough 13 Marg of 13 51 M Vector right is 1919 so this is more than enough in the go Guardian is 5.4 I’ll quickly call okay we can fly speed that makes sense to me that’s good and so we calculated also that the go is good for the minimum and we have more than 5% so we can use the low minimum good yeah then after landing this idle reverse and uh Auto break low we will just uh turn to uh to the right and then we taxi to wherever we are parked we have to find out y but we didn’t know we we just tried to find it out we tried it multiple times work so what we expect we expect to leave bya November 3 or so or or one later and then we to Tex link we need to see finally tell us so right now but he know the airport so actually we know the airport we know it’s not a surprise for us when get okay we keep an eye there’s always traffic everywhere so you have to make sure Hot Spot sure but we need to keep an According to the new schedule, there would not be a video this week because the video from last week contained an approach and the briefing in the crew room.
Nevertheless, several viewers requested an upload every week – when possible. Even if it is just a part of a full video or a less detailed video.
So I decided to publish a video this week. The video shows a full approach from the cruise altitude to Palma de Mallorca, but no charts and no checklists and no MCDU pages. Just the cockpit video and the audio.
I hope you like this video even if it is not as complex and detailed as my "normal" videos.
Have a nice weekend!
I like when first officer say ( landing no blue ) 😂😂
Beautiful approach! Thanks for sharing!! I use your videos with my flight simulator to get used to the A320, I am planning to apply to the airlines here in Argentina the next year so this material is just perfect!
Great video! I recently flew from Gatwick to Mallorca Island last week for a holiday and I must say I really enjoyed the view of Alcudia and the mountains were stunning when we came into land on 24L. Really good ILS approach it was.
We went via the Pyrenees, Andorra and Barcelona on the way down, but the Pyrenees was bumpy over the mountains, but it was a really clear view. On the way back was a different route, via Marsellie and through central France. I thought we maybe went that way because the Pyrenees had bad weather, but that is the standard route to the UK.
Question 2: What is your favourite ATC coverage area in Europe, and why? I'd say mine is Spanish and English.
I hope to see you land at Gatwick (LGW) soon!!
Regards, Louis.
Absolutely love your videos. Specially Mallorca. What an island!
First Officer Staying good evening to atc 😂
A lovely video thank you
very exited ground crew 😂
Does this 320 have a HUD installed or why are there the Declutter, X-Wind and so on switches on the glareshield?
Hello Captain!
I just wanted to thank you for your time in making these amazing videos… The quality is fantastic, and it is a great feeling to join you in the flight deck for the different phases of the flights. Also it is highly motivating, for those who would like to become commercial pilots in the future, just like myself.
So again, thanks for your time to prepare these fenomenal videos, and would like to wish you all the best, safe flights and happy landings!!
Lovely Approach captain
We all really appreciate the work you and you team put into these tutorials
well done .holding that ILS with a 10 knot tailwind.the precision was fantastic.very interesting watching you go between 600 700 800 descent rate to hold the ILS.amazing for such a big aircraft.and you are still my favourite crews.:-)
Dear Captain, thank you so much for uploading cockpit videos on your channel. I have been following you for a long time now. Your professional level is magical 💯 Amazing CRM, you speak out even for any small inputs in the cockpit which is wonderful. I get to learn a lot from you. Same goes for the First Officer. Beautiful approach, everything was 10 on 10. It would be my pleasure to fly with you one day. ✈️💯
Satuarday, Breakfast and a new video from Stefan!
What a fantastic approach ! Thanks for sharing it.
Funny it was filmed just one day after my holidays there 😃😃
Have a nice week-end !
Great Videos, Thank You So Much Captain, Have a Nice Weekend.
Hi, I noticed at 35:10 those knobs and switches at your glareshield above the ND, can you explain what is that?
Again a Great Video!
It’s such an amazing opportunity for young people who are dreaming of becoming a pilot one day to have these videos!
Thank you so much captain!
Great teamwork. Another very professional performance in the cockpit.
Great videos Captain, best regards from Brussels control (radar ACC)!
Hi Capt, question – what is the Declutter switch I see at 32:16, near the left side of both master warning/caution buttons? Because I thought Declutter is referred to the HUD on the A350s only. Hello from SIN/WSSS!
Amazing flight, splendid views, somewhat "busy" taxing with traffic. Really liked the flight deck view @32:17. Thank you.
Looks like it was another beautiful day for flying! Something that surprised me in this video wasn’t actually aviation related, it was the First Officer and his accent – he sounds English with the faintest hint of a German accent 😂
Given the recent events at the destination, I feel I should express my condolences to those killed and injured in the building collapse in Mallorca. Wishing those injured a speedy recovery, I understand a number of whom were German nationals.
Thank you for the extra content this week Captain. As you both said, a very beautiful and scenic approach. Lovely smooth landing!
🇩🇪🛫🌍🛬🇪🇸👨🏻✈️

I love it that passengers also got detailed briefing for the landing.😃
Just want to thank you for sharing this content, I want to become a captain as well and will hopefully start my education sooner or later. Hope you're doing well and always happy landings🎉

Hallo Stefan, wirklich TOP deine Videos.
