Serbia Has a Government-Documented Vampire. I Slept in His Death Mill.

There’s a watermill in a small Serbian village of Zarožje where, according to locals, a vampire has been hunting for over 400 years.

His name is Sava Savanović—the most famous vampire in Serbian folklore, and one of the earliest recorded vampire legends in history.

I went alone to spend the night inside.

This is the story of the first documented vampire panic, the event that helped introduce the word “vampire” to Europe, sparked fear across the Habsburg Empire in the 18th century, and eventually influenced real-life cases like the Mercy Brown vampire incident in Rhode Island in 1892.

But it’s also the story of what happens when someone tries to sleep in an abandoned mill deep in the forest… where people still believe something is waiting.

  1. Gym bros: LOOK AT MY BICEPS!! I AM ALL THAT IS MAN!

This guy: humbly plops down earthshattering nutsack, gets piss-ass, and eats spoiled food while taunting vampires and ignoring the hantavirus

  2. "Now I don't believe in the supernatural, but…" and then you go on to try and meet a 400 year old Serbian Vampire. Steve, I think you need to purchase a dictionary and do some pre-production research next time on the words you are using.

  3. If only people knew just how hard medieval vampires were to kill. The lore is crazy. You have to: stake the body through the heart, decapitate it, burn the remains, douse the remains in holy water, and scatter them to the four cardinals under a full moon, at a crossroads. If you miss one of these steps, it might still come back. That whole joke about steps 1 through 10 to actually kill Alucard in the hellsing abridged series is honestly not far off the mark.

  4. Well that was enough to get me subbed up! I was like "don't look in that Lil basement! Are you crazy!" Then 1 sec later we are in the basement 😂 I like the add stories

  5. Man, I've been watching YouTube videos for probably over 20 years and I've never been more impressed than I am now. I know this doesn't mean much, but in those 20+ years, this is the first channel I've ever subscribed to. I wish you all the best and hope you continue to post these top-notch videos.

  6. Doc. Holiday and his mother died from tuberculosis. No one thought they were vampires. BECAUSE every one knew they had " Consuption " tuberculosis. Just sayin.
