Got this email this morning, about 5 sites are closed the entire summer for ‘hazardous trees’. Is there any chance this will be resolved? Or should I be on the lookout for a new site? Also what are the good campsite availability notifiers? (I already am using Campflare and the one built into Recreation.gov) Any response is appreciated!

It depends on how many workers are in that district, but I’ve never had a cancellation be reversed. If they’re closing is and sending out announcements then they probably have no ability to have them guaranteed to be open. I would 100% book somewhere else before everyone else snatches up the sites. Happy camping
