I’ve been hunting all over for MINI versions of a curling iron and a straightening iron that are JUST 220-240v – not dual voltage. I’ve read a lot of horror stories of dual voltage small appliances burning out outlets and that is not something I want to do. I’m trying to do 6 weeks in my carryon only so the size of the devices is really important too!

I did find this : [https://www.220-electronics.com/braun-st310-hair-straightener-220-240-volts.html](https://www.220-electronics.com/braun-st310-hair-straightener-220-240-volts.html)

Travel sized, but it has terrible reviews on amazon, the product just stops working for people pretty immediately, and has bad customer service.

and I found this curling iron that is just 220-240v, but I can’t tell how large or small it is. [https://www.220-electronics.com/braun-ec2c-curling-iron-220-240-volts.html](https://www.220-electronics.com/braun-ec2c-curling-iron-220-240-volts.html)

Has anyone found a good 220v or 240v only MINI curling iron or straightener that can be shipped to the US?

  1. Trudestiny on

Best thing to do , as soon as you arrive , go to the local pharmacy or any place that sells these and just buy yourself one.

That is what we do , we have a north american dysan and a EU one ( with an adapter plug for UK) .

And your right the dual ones never work properly ,ends up being a waste of money.

  2. I just got back from Amsterdam from the US. My friend brought her L’ANGE HAIR Le Duo (bought in US) and plugged it into an adapter (not a converter) at our hotel. It worked great and got very hot.

I should mention that this device works as both a straightener and a curling iron, and it is on the smaller size. It takes some practice but works very well.
