Black Forest is huge with many towns. I would recommend to visit small towns as you get a real forest vibes there. Especially if you are not travelling by your own car and have limited days you cannot visit all of them. Hence, choose to stay in small towns like Triberg to get the local experience. If you stay in small towns you also get to travel free in trains and buses across Black Forest using the Konya card provided by your accommodation owners.
We covered these towns in 4 nights. The first two days we stayed in Triberg and the last two in Breitnau in Hofgut Sternen hotel.
